“The latter comes with a video directed by Jordan Phoenix, featuring the members as ’80s movie characters performing in a Blockbuster knockoff. “We are focused on this chapter of our career being about happiness,” Key adds. “This is the most fun we’ve had making a video in 20 years, and we hope everyone has a smile on their face when they watch it.”.” – Alternative Press

Alternative Press dropped a feature on Yellowcard’s album Better Days—their first in almost a decade—and gave a shoutout to the music video I directed for the title track. The video turns the band into ’80s movie heroes performing inside a Blockbuster, which I built by hand right here in St. Louis.

The piece highlights how the record, produced by Travis Barker (who also played drums on every track), marks a huge creative comeback for the band. Frontman Ryan Key told AP the process made him feel like he was “19 again,” and said the Better Days video captures that energy perfectly: “This is the most fun we’ve had making a video in 20 years.”
